btw, if you have played in both football and football PLUS leagues, your performances will be combined. say you have a 75% in 10 free leagues and 65% in 10 PLUS leagues, you will be given a 70% in 20 leagues
    ((.75×10)+(.65×10))/20 = .70

Thanks for putting these up.. :)

This is an awesome tool, 3rd in football and basketball, not ot brag or anything….;-) Any way that baseball can be added?

    • mbuser says:

hey man you earned it – bragging rights are just one of the uses. i’m not going to add baseball during the season, since performance ratings will basically change every day, based on fluctuations in 09 standings. it only makes sense to have the three off-season sports at this point

  4. sixten says:

Nice – first in football, 14th in basketball…which is odd because basketball is probably my least favorite. I think baseball is my best, too…31 regular teams, 75% with 5 PLUS teams @ 73%…18 trophies…

    I need SixTenSports.com ASAP…haha.

Thanks Buser, this is cool stuff.

    • mbuser says:

nice job man. that’s a pretty strong resume, although you may get knocked off the football perch once we get more people signed up and those values start to change. as of right now, ‘average’ for football is only 9.5 leagues and performance rating in the low 60s

      • sixten says:

        Thanks.

Well if/when you start making leagues involving the top managers according to your rankings, we’ll all have the chance to back up our profiles against each other. I’m already involved in leagues like that for baseball/basketball and it’s a lot of fun (not to mention more competitive than even my money PLUS leagues).

I’m in for any of the 4 major sports if it ever happens, Buser.

I am in on any except Hockey……. 3rd in football and 3rd in Basketball…..

        • mbuser says:

yep, that’s one thing that i’m really hoping to do is give us a tangible thing to use to find some great competition moving forward

can we get a handicap if we don’t have nerd/cushy/IT jobs like SixTen??

Hey Matt, quick question. I have several yahoo accounts. The one I use for most of my private leagues I’ve also used for a bunch of mock drafts (before yahoo added their mock feature), so there’s a bunch of public teams I didn’t bother to play in my profile. I’ve done particularly well in all the private leagues I actually participated in, but my performace rating is below average because of all the last place ‘mock’ finishes. Is there any way to eliminate those leagues and get my true rating, or do I have to bite the bullet and work extra hard for the next 20 years just to get back to respectability?

    • mbuser says:

you gotta bite the bullet there, man. and not to sound harsh, but my feeling is that it’s a fair penalty for adding dead teams to public leagues. sorry, please don’t take that personal

      • capoltorta says:

No worries, that’s fair, just wish they came up with their mock feature a long time ago, I like doing at least 10 or 20 before the real thing, it’s good practice. Even in real life, you can see the disparity.

        • mbuser says:

i hear you man. plenty of people did it and you can’t argue with how mocks do help you when it counts. i think we all can agree that yahoo public leagues have historically been hit or miss for a variety of reasons

just posted my profile….I commish an “expert” league, with over 60% performance ratio the minimum requirement for all GMs….plus, at least 3+ years Yahoo fantasy experience, and 20+ teams managed….half the GMs in the group have over 70% ratings (mine is 79%) and it is a a great group, very competitive, and no dead teams….we have a transaction limit in every league to prevent streaming, and a running overall performance spreadsheet to show who’s the best in each sport, and also overall…..look forward to seeing what you’re gonna do with the list you’re compiling Matt….keep up the good work !…Craig

mbuser, when will fantasy baseball be added?

    • So-Tex Spurs says:

If I remember correctly, I think Buser said he’d add baseball to the registry after the season was over. But that was waaaaaay back when, so I wouldn’t hold me to that.

As far as comments are concerned, you could always use one of the posts under the “Other Fantasy Sports” category – they should still show up in the “Recent Comments” section even though the posts are dated some time ago.

    • mbuser says:

yeah since it’s manual entry, it didn’t make sense to add it during the season, when the rating changes on an almost daily basis. that will happen after the season is over
