same drill as last week. i’ve skipped most of the pleasantries and will await specific questions from those of you still aiming for a league crown

  2. nob says:

    a few quick questions.

do you think Charlie Villanueva should be dropped for a more productive player?

is Anthony Randolph worth picking up?

this isn’t a question but Duncan is hurting me more than helping me.

and finally, if I (potentially) make it to the championship game and my opponent clearly has a better team than i do (i missed the draft day and so a friend picked my team)is it okay to stream and get a few more games under my belt?

btw it’s the last day before the championship game and i’m tied 5-5 with my opponent (11-cat H2H)

    • mbuser says:

yeah given all the factors i’d rather have randolph than charlie v, but are you sure he’s your worst player?

i’m not a huge fan of streaming in general, but there’s also a fine line between a few selective add/drops and arbitrary streaming. i’ll let you make the call there, as it really doesn’t affect me

  3. Ashley says:

Jason Kidd….. Really destroyed my chances of playing in the championship next week. Thanks a lot Nash/Phoenix defense…

Maybe the Hornets and Jazz will go to 3OT so CP3 can get 20 assists. I’m down 14 assists, need to win in order to play next week.

    Oh well.. Go Braves

    • mbuser says:

that was quite the display today from DAL/PHO. so that means paul’s 12 assists got you within 2?

    • Ashley says:

Yeah.. When I saw he had 12 after 3 quarters I got optimistic, but unfortunately that’s what he finished with.

I came up 5 assists short. Westbrook, Blake, Durant, Lopez, Gomes, Battier, Rasheed, McDyess, and Andersen couldn’t get me enough.

He had Andre Miller, Jarrett Jack, Garcia, Diaw, Odom, Morrow and Zach Randolph left. And he added Udrih last night.. That was the difference maker, I think he finished with 6 assists.

This sucks. He went from 48 3ptm and 163 assists last week to 65 3ptm and 224 assists this week. Miller, Garcia, Morrow, Diaw, and Kidd killed me this week. I beat him 7-1 two weeks ago, lost in a tie-breaker this week.

I’m going to have nightmares about the 1st half of that Suns/Mavs game. That was honestly the worst defense I’ve ever seen in my life. Mavs scored at will.

But whatever, I’ll be so conservative with my moves next year and won’t get stuck with 60 moves going into the playoffs against a streamer. Time for baseball.. Lowe got me 8 shutout innings =)

  4. Problem Gasolved says:

i benched my entire team in order to win TO’s because i am up so big in points and assists. Got to love the tie going to the team with the most points.

    • mbuser says:

that’s a tough way to lose. the other manager must be miffed

      • Problem Gasolved says:

yea…i couldnt imagine he is too happy. my team didnt have the best week so my third dominating category fell behind and i had to make drastic benching moves the past two days to win TO’s

        • jasonbourne says:

          Problem GasTOlved?

Love the handle. I’m not sure what else you could have done if you wanted TO’s. I mean a coach will bench a player if he’s making too many mistakes, so that’s the right call. I had Chris Duhon during the season as PG and benched him because of his TO’s. But to bench an entire team was a bit extreme… but you gotta do what you gotta do. LOL.

          • Problem Gasolved says:

i won based on all that benching and am now in the championship game. i dont think i will be able to utilize a similar strategy because my new opponent is strong in most categories i am strong in. if i bench too many guys i will be at risk of losing other categories. lame!

  5. JMKelvin says:

I’m in a 12-team h2h league. I’ve got a couple questionable guys I might need to dump before next week. I picked up Kyle Korver for the 5 games this week, but the waiver wire is pretty thin so I might keep him for championship week. I also have Thabo, but he’s been worthless aside from steals and some blocks… honestly Ronny Turiaf (available in my league) might be more useful. Also I just picked up Shane Battier to replace Thaddeus Young, but sadly he won’t be anywhere near Young’s numbers :-(

I’m considering swapping out Korver or Thabo. Some guys still available are Keyon Dooling, Rodney Carney, Aaron Brooks, and Mike Miller. I’m fine on assists, could use some help in FT%, 3PTM, & steals, and I’m horrible in REB and BLK. Any thoughts/suggestions?

First time I’ve commented on your blog, by the way. I love your writing! Keep up the good work.

    • VintageVince says:

pick up Carney for Korver, check out Minnesota’s schedule, LAC, GS, PHO, DAL, SAC

    • mbuser says:

both miller and carney are reasonable while foye is out. dooling’s schedule isn’t good, but he’s going to start the rest of the way, and he should definitely help you in 3PTM, STL, and FT%. and i’d say keep battier for the rockets’ back-to-back on fri/sat (@SAC, @GSW) and then pick someone else up

    • jasonbourne says:

I picked up Ashton Korver because he helps in FT% and 3PTM. He cooled a bit last week, but with Miles out, I think he’ll get some minutes off the bench. The other thing I like about him is Jerry Sloan will keep him out there in a close game for his FT shooting and 3s.

Turiaf has been getting a lot of run with Biedrins out. He’s been solid in BLK and REB. I’ve been riding with him pretty much all season long.

  6. MattLuthardt says:

    Matt,

Need some advice on what to do for championship week in H2H eight category league with a max of four moves a week…

    Roster
    Mike Taylor
    Nate Robinson
    Deron Will
    Lebron
    Kenyon Martin
    Chris Kaman
    Luis Scola
    D.J. Augustin
    Jarret Jack
    Antawn Jamison
    Rudy Gay
    Zaza Pachulia
    Rajon Rondo
    Raja Bell

Martin…Kaman…Bell are all injured and considered day-to-day, I had streamed taylor/pachulia/augustin this week but with the four moves I need to cut the injured guys so I am hoping for some insight on who to keep

Guys Im thinking about picking up include Morrow (GS), Big Baby (BOS), Flip (ATL), Sefalosha (OKC), Carney (MIN), Anderson (NJ)

  7. boxjohnson says:

I was almost a cautionary streaming tale this week. I killed in the categories I targetted but lost both %s. I benched half my squad to lower TO’s, he followed suit, I benched more guys at the last second. It ended even and points will give me the tiebreak. Stream responibly!

Ginobli fell to me through waivers, but did I wind up with fool’s gold? Even with a great schedule, Pop isn’t scared to limit minutes or rest a guy.

  8. chelinse says:

made it to the championships..been in first all year. made 72 roster moves so far on year. play in 15 cat. head to head with to, tech, ejt current lineup is:

    j. calderon
    d. wade
    c. billups
    m. conley
    s. blake
    b. rush
    b. udrih
    j. salmons
    v. carter
    j.r. smith
    a. randolph
    d. lee
    s. dalembert
    a. bargnani

i’m really thinking about dropping dalembert. i could pick up turiaf, songalia, haywood, pryzbilla(streamed him last week, lucky his ejct didn’t cost me) or should i add another guard? or just gut it out and hope sam comes up big to end the season??

  9. rustygriswald says:

NBA Green Week found me in one of my least green weeks in quite some time. I ended up traveling sans computer (I’m a studio musician/sound engineer) from the NW to Nashville, then Indianapolis, then home yesterday. To borrow BoxJohnson’s genius concept I definitely needed the Flomax to halt the stream I was up against.

Ended up losing FT .750-.758, 66-68 in STLS, 50-56 in 3′s (apparently JR Smith had quite a week) and finally a truly gawdy 17-21 in blocks, all of this in a 4-5 matchup.

At the risk of being the umpteenth Nile cried on this site recently I bid you all a fond adieu, and as a non-baseball enthusiast will catch up on the boards this fall.

    Are you doing football Buse?

    L8R,

    Rusty

    • mbuser says:

sorry about your luck man. be sure to keep checking in – among the end-of-season content will be polling to establish consensus keeper rankings and compilations of users fantasy profile info (which should facilitate league match-making next season). we’ll cross the football bridge when we get to it

  10. hyde says:

How much does AK47 value increase now that miles is out, would he be worth grabbing for ryan gomes for the finals

  11. markydarky says:

    Hi Matt,

Which player would give me more steals for the championship week, Barbosa or Jarrett Jack? Im facing an opponent with CP3 and if I can win in steals I think I can win. I can’t stream on this league because we can only add 2 players a week. Thanks.

  12. noelg says:

So I made it to championship week…right now I still can’t believe it. :)

However, I have Kevin Martin and Spencer Hawes in my lineup. Should I drop them and pick other players up? I’m not sure how serious their injuries are at this point.

Right now my team looks like this:

    Deron Williams
    Eric Gordon
    Steve Blake
    Jason Terry
    Joe Johnson
    Kevin Martin
    Andre Iguodala
    Anthony Randolph
    Chris Andersen
    David Lee
    Spencer Hawes
    Brad Miller
    Marc Gasol

Some guys on the wire include Carney, Hinrich, Q Richardson, Bonner, Gooden, Julian Wright…

  13. Problem Gasolved says:

Im not one for streaming so instead i do what buser mentioned and that is making intelligent picks at the beginning of the week on which players will be most beneficial. The problem i am facing this week is that so many games are on the same days that all my best players are already filling all the spots. My disposable players are already benched. i had to pick up Ariza since he plays on many of the off days (Tues, Thurs, Sun, Tues). Anyone know of any “hot” players who i may be missing on those off days?

    • RT says:

i don’t know about all of championship week, but aaron brooks has SAC/PHO on Wed/Thurs, and KHinrich has philly on Thurs. nobody plays on the following tuesday.

  14. los_macheteros says:

My line-up for the two-week finals:

    G: Steve Nash
    G: Kevin Durant
    F: Troy Murphy
    F: David Lee
    C: Dwight Howard
    U: Ramon Sessions
    U: Tyrus Thomas

    bench:
    G: Steve Blake
    G: Mike Conley
    F: Anthony Randolph
    F: Brandon Rush
    C: Jason Thompson

Should I make a move like Brandon Rush for Beno Udrih? My free agent listing isn’t too thin

  15. mhoub1186 says:

Alright I’m in the championship of my 12 team standard yahoo league. I didn’t lose or tie a single week all year, but now its crunch time.

I really want Randolph, but to be honest my team is pretty stacked:

    Paul
    Terry
    Gordon
    Nate Robinson
    Nocioni
    Pau Gasol
    Jason Thompson
    JR Smith
    Turiaf
    Rasheed Wallace
    Kirilenko
    Turkoglu
    Jermaine O’Neal

Who, if anyone, would I drop to pick up Randolph?? JR smith is my only guy playing 4 games. Carney is also available but I dont think I can use him right now.

    • mbuser says:

don’t make a move just to do it. in your case, i’d be looking at your opponents roster and trying to see which categories they will challenge you the most in

      • mhoub1186 says:

Ok thanks. I’m pretty sure I will beat him with the team I have. After comparing past month averages, I don’t think a move will help me. Hopefully Randolph will stay on the wire in case I get an injury.

        • mbuser says:

boy thompson has been really good lately. his past 12 games:
          15.4 pts, .545 FG%, 9.8 reb, 0.8 stl, 1.2 blk

turiaf v randolph is an interesting one. they obviously will play the same schedule. past 7 games stats:
          RT: 7.1 pts, .540 FG%, 7 reb, 0.6 stl, 1.6 blk, 2.9 ast, 1 to
          AR: 12.3 pts, .467 FG%, 11.3 reb, 1.4 stl, 2.1 blk, 1.1 ast, 1.3 to

  16. jasonbourne says:

I just wanted to say thanks, Matt, for having such an awesome site. I had a mental block last week and posting here helped me make good decisions. I’ve learned so much from it and the great members of the forum in such short time. Now, I’ve got a chance at my first championship. Here’s my lineup:
Aldridge (just kept getting better every week)
Barbosa (I could not pass him up)
    Kobe
    Jamal Crawford
    Eric Gordon
    Korver
    Brook Lopez
    Nocioni
    Nowitzki
    Lamar Odom
    Jet Terry
    Kurt Thomas
    Turiaf
    David West

    • mbuser says:

pretty solid squad to be heading to the finals with. anybody worth considering on the wire?

      • jasonbourne says:

My opponent’s pretty solid, too, with Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, and he’s loading up on 3-pt shooters. So I’m going to battle toe-to-toe in the 3PTM and 3PT% (we got a h2h standard 9 + 3PT% and FTM) and try to snag one of them. The wire’s got castoffs from the previous week like Delonte, Udrih, Anthony Parker, Duhon, and Courtney Lee.

        • mbuser says:

maybe swap out kurt thomas for parker or c.lee? both are making >40% of their threes and have solid matchups (not that you are really hurting in those cats with that collection)

          • jasonbourne says:

Woo hoo! I just found out that I won my first Championship by one blocked shot.

I was trying to win FTs and REBs and thought that would put me over, but it was not to be. My opponent took FTs with guys off the wire like Thaddeus Young and Louis Williams. On the last day, my opponent had the players with the higher rankings in REBs and BLKs because I shot a lot of my powder with Kobe, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom on Tuesday. I thought he had BLKs, but Brook Lopez got 3 BLKs and a guy from my alma mater pulled me through on REBs — Leon Powe.

          • jasonbourne says:

Oops. I better wait until it’s FINAL before celebrating.

    • mbuser says:

oh and to you (and anyone else) that wants to say ‘thanks’ for the site – get in the habit of clicking an ad or two in the upper right corner :)

  17. jersey says:

I think I already made a gaffe. Picked up Rodney Carney instead of Josh Howard, who’s now on my opponent’s team. I needed more manpower for Tuesday, as he had a two-player advantage.

  18. Kevin says:

who’s got a better schedule/chance for minutes? ak47 or joakim noah? will cj miles lose any more time with his finger? i could probably use the blocks and steals and 3s combo with ak47, but he’s been so inconsistent, and i might feel too beholden to him because i drafted him.

    • Kevin says:

oh also, i could drop matt barnes, since he’s been scary bad lately.

    • mbuser says:

miles is questionable for wednesday right now
Miles said his finger was still quite sore, and he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to play Wednesday in his native Dallas. “It’s going to be pretty hard to shoot without the index finger on my left hand,” he said, “so hopefully the swelling goes down and I’ll be able to see what I can do.”
      http://www.deseretnews.com/article/705295471/Utah-Jazz-Boozer-still-getting-up-to-speed.html

interestingly enough rotoworld is already assuming AK is starting from here on out. i’d have to give the edge to noah, but it’s close

the suns have everyone healthy now, so barnes is getting squeezed a bit. they’ve got a nice schedule though

  19. mbuser says:

manu’s season is over (including playoffs)
    http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=12179

  20. Problem Gasolved says:

In rotoworld’s “The Week Ahead” they mentioned Ariza losing minutes due to being benched to rest up for playoffs. Do you agree? There just arent many players available that play on the off days i mentioned before.

  21. timbo says:

here is my squad going into championship week. can you see an moves to make?? its H2H.
    billups
    calderon
    sessions
    ford
    jr smith
    azubuike
    w. chandler
    ak
    hawes
    murphy
    gasol
    yao

some people that may be worth a look.. carney, gomes, moon, felton, battier, udrih, charlie v, duhon, morrow, augustin, mccants, bell, reggie evans, chris anderson. any thoughts?? thanks

    • mbuser says:

man that’s a nice squad. you have much trouble in your previous playoff matchups? seems like if anything you are a little low in D stats?

      • timbo says:

i won the semis against the 2nd ranked team 7-3 (i fifished rg season 3rd) i didnt have murphy until last week as the team that had him dropped him when it looked like he was gonna be shut down and i luckily had the no 1 waiver position. the team im going against is also very strong with
        nash
        monta
        iggy
        granger
        harrington
        diaw
        ty thomas
        brook lopez
        aldridge
        bosh
        z.randolph
        haywood

how do you think i match up with him. z.randolph will be out for 2 games, monta may be injured… should i make any moves?? this team fished the season on top but i beat him both times we met. although i think he was struggleing with injuries both times… thanks for any advice. love the site!

        • mbuser says:

man it’s going to be tight. if anything i’d be looking to add a few more games to your total and get more counting stats since you’ve got three guys only playing four games. for instance, i might use sessions on wednesday and then drop him for udrih – you then five more games instead of three. drop j.r. for morrow after wed/thu – you’ll then get four more games instead of two

  22. VintageVince says:

    Random question Matt,

What formula does Yahoo! use for their rankings? Just curious.

    Thanks

  23. The JG says:

Hey Matt can you give me some advice for the championship week in my standard yahoo 12 team, nine category, h2h league? I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction for what five categories I should try to win. My team has really become a shadow of its former self. The only two players remaining from my drafted team are Joe Johnson and Ron Artest. I used to have a good understanding of my team, but now i’m not so sure after injuries to Camby, Foye, and Ginobli. I also traded Granger for Kidd while Granger was injured. To be honest, I am surprised I was able to win 5-4 in both the quarters and semis. We can make eight moves per week in the league. Any help would be much appreciated.

    My Roster:

    Joe Johnson
    Peja Stojakovic
    Eric Gordon
    Francisco Garcia
    Gerald Wallace
    Andres Nocioni
    Ronny Turiaf
    Ron Artest
    Rodney Carney
    Jason Kidd
    Anthony Randolph
    Ramon Sessions

    My Opponent:

    Chris Paul
    O.J. Mayo
    Russell Westbrook
    Shane Battier
    Josh Smith
    Rasual Butler
    Chris Andersen
    Chris Duhon
    Steve Blake
    Danny Granger
    Tayshaun Prince
    Kirk Hinrich

    • mbuser says:

i might think about dumping peja for some def stats for a better REB/BLK or STL/3PT combo. and with the bucks only playing three times the rest of the way, think about dropping sessions tomorrow (to get his wednesday game) and pick up someone with more games the rest of the way. you’ll struggle to hang with him in ast, so i’d be looking just about everywhere else

  24. naivehs says:

Hi Matt, I’m in the final round of a default H2H league

This is my team: Andre Miller, Kevin Martin, Mike Conley, Andres Nocioni, Gerald Wallace, Kevin Love, Pau Gasol, Nene Hilario, Sebastian Telfair, Thabo Sefolosha, Grant Hill, Anthony Randolph, Richard Hamilton

This is my opponents team: Russel Westbrook, Dwayne Wade, Matt Barnes, Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, Danny Granger, Spencer Hawes, Emeka Okafor, Francisco Garcia, Samule Dalembert, J.R. Smith, Rajon Rondo, Caron Butler

feels like I have a tough round ahead of me, our league has a limit of two player adds a week and I already used one (on telfair, there will be two moves allowed for next week too)

THE QUESTION IS: Should I pick up Shaun Livingston for Thabo Sefolosha? I am also considering Anthony Morrow, our league ID is 20737. Thank you a lot!

  25. timbo says:

i have to sit one of these guys for wednesdays games… who do you think i should sit?? gomes(GS), AK(Dal), w.chandler(Det), ford(Tor), azubuike(Min), sessions(Atl).

  26. Kevin says:

are there any signs that washington will sit butler/jamison for some blake griffin action?

  27. Kevin says:

come on, rondo. i had to set my weekly lineups and i couldve started morrow or haywood or even jarret jack. how serious does it look?

    • Kevin says:

while setting my (daily league) lineups i noticed on days with many matchups i end up benching 1 or 2 guys. thursday, sunday and tuesday only have a handful of my guys playing. do you have any strategies for this? of the teams with matchups on these days who are good pickups, so to maximize the games in the remaining weeks?

      • mbuser says:

of course it depends who is out there, but you could think about von wafer for thurs (@SAC), as the rockets then are @GSW on fri. nocioni is a bit shallower – they’ve got HOU on thurs and then @LAC on friday

LAL and PHI are the only two teams with games on all 3 days (thu, sun, tue) and sac plays thu and sun

  28. jersey says:

Matt, after tonight, how would you rank A. Randolph, Morrow, Dooling and AK (whom I own) in relation to my roster? I’m thinking of dropping AK after tonight’s game and use that to stream. My only other option is Kendrick Perkins. Quick roster rundown. Thanks in advnce.

    PG Chris Paul
    G Rajon Rondo
    SG Jamal Crawford
    SF R. Lewis
    F R. Artest
    PF C. Boozer
    C D. Howard
    C B. Lopez
    U W. Chandler
    Bench – Perkins, AK47, J. Thompson.

14 3s and 12 blocks from this group last night, unfortunately Artest stunk it up and Dwight had a quite night by his standards scoring wise.

    • jersey says:

Whoops, forgot to add Eric Gordon to my team.

    • mbuser says:

seems like you should be doing pretty well in reb/blk/fg, so maybe randolph is overkill? of course you don’t need a clean sweep, just one more cat than the other guy. maybe dooling’s ast make sense, but it’s tough to say without knowing how the matchup is going and he’s got a few tough matchups. neither morrow nor randolph are bad options, depending on which cats you are after

  29. VintageVince says:

Is Yahoo letting you guys add / drop players?

When I try to add a player, after choosing the player I want to add, and then choosing the player I want to drop, and then choosing “add this player” it takes me to a blank white page. Is every1 getting this?

  30. VintageVince says:

Ive picked up Bynum, but do you think he is worth picking up Matt?

  31. VintageVince says:

Brian Skinner, worth picking up? He has had a couple strong games, and Clippers play Sacramento tomorrow with Kaman / Camby both likely not playing, clippers also play on Sunday too.

Skinner went 16-14, with a steal and 3 blocks in his last game vs Minnesota

  32. memo_okur says:

any news on andrea bargnani?? who to play tomorrow? andrew bynum or chris duhon or jared dudley? thanks matt

  33. jersey says:

Matt, would love to know who you like better tommorrow with steals and assists being the most important factors – Stuckey (against Indy) or Dooling (against Orl)?

Unfortunately my opponent streamed the rebounder I wanted so it’s off to target steals and assists.

    • jersey says:

One more sit/start quickie Matt if you can. Down by 14 in assists, 27 points, up two in steals and tied in blocks.
I need one of the following: Nate vs Orl., Chalmers vs. Bos., Dooling vs. Det. or Nocioni vs. LAC.

      • mbuser says:

i think you gotta go stuckey with that matchup against indy but then try dooling against the pistons. i like nocioni against the clips, but not really in many areas you are targeting

        • jersey says:

I’m the biggest goof, listened to your second answer but played Dooling twice instead by accident and never double-checked with your answer. Stuckey’s bound to get 3 steals tonight. Oh the humanity!
          Hopefully the both get two.:)

  34. holden says:

need help asap, hopefully someone could help. i have to choose 2 of these 3 centers to play today: bynum, przybilla, biedrins. which 2 should i go with if i’m looking for help in fg%/reb/pts?

  35. holden says:

thanks matt, wow that was quick.

  36. Jailblazer says:

Hey buser which 2 do you think would give the best overall production tomorrow?

    peja vs DAL
    warrick @LAL
    gooden @SAC
    bass @NO

love the site and insight. thx

  37. ferewuz says:

Uh it’s gonna be close for me till the end, currently trailing 5-4 in finals, leading for 2 in turnovers, losing for 2 in steals, hoping i will get some luck :)

Which teams will still be competing for better place in playoffs these last two games and so giving it all ?
And why is Devin Harris undroppable :(

    • mbuser says:

5-8 in the east and 2-8 in the west still have wiggle room, so not a lot of teams in operation shutdown at this point

as for the can’t cut, i agree that it could use an update

  38. MattLuthardt says:

    Matt,

Any word on Deron Williams rib injury? Whether he plays or not could decide the championship matchup…

  39. Farmer says:

    Gay vs ATL
    Salmons vs TOR

Who is the better add for Rebounds, Assists, Steals, FT%, & FG%.

Is there any chance Salmons gets rest for playoffs?

  40. jasonbourne says:

Week 24 was interesting. According to basketballmonster.com, I calculated that I had a good chance to stream roll my opponent. However, my veteran opponent, and winner of multiple past championships, realized I would steam roll him being the good player that he is. Thus, he started streaming players when we started the week and he was very good at that. To counter it, I used what I learned here, and that was to stream right back at him. However, I had the better players, so I could not do it as much. I just picked my spots. Tonight (Sunday), I’m in the lead 6 – 5 which is what I figured would be the score if we were locked in a heated battle. That was fine, and in Week 24, there were some exciting and scary moments.

However, now we’re going to Week 25, and I’m not really looking forward to it. I just picked up a player for Tuesday, in order to get the most players I can for the week, but everything seems anti-climactic now. We’re just going to stream players in and out until it’s over battling for one cat or another. Streaming is a valid strategy over a week’s time, as my opponent has shown, but it’s not much fun if you just end up streaming like we will be doing until the end of Week 25.

    Thoughts?

Got one spot to fill from Barbosa, AK47/LAC and Outlaw/OKC.

All 3 have been playing pretty poorly, and Suns seem to be in this weird time share for everybody situation. AK has the best matchup, but he has been sucking lately. I pretty much need to win 1 out of Ast/TO, 3′s, and pts, all of which are close. Leandro the safest play here?

  42. jersey says:

Speaking of streamfest, how do you think this lineup will play out for blocks: I’m down one.
Granger, Horford, W. Chandler, Haywood, DeAndre Jordan, Gortat, Dominic McGuire and Nocioni?

Lol, h2h finals is the worst week ever!

  43. boxjohnson says:

anyone else not have stats update in their league after last night? killin’ me, smalls!

  44. VintageVince says:

Matt, Its the final day of the playoffs and I wanted to know if I could get some advice. I have to bench 3 players. I Basically need steals + 3s + points, I am guaranteed rebounds + FT %. Which two do you think I should bench? I am tied in 3s, up by 3 steals, up by about 50 points. I’ve lost FG % for sure, and I am down by about 20 assists, but I am also up by 1 block. Which 3 should I bench?

    C.J. Watson @ Pho
    Morrow @ Pho
    Telfair @ SAC
    Carney @ SAC
    Louis Williams @ CLE
    Kidd @ HOU
    Billups @ POR
    Rudy Gay @ ATL
    Marion @ Chicago
    Tyrus Thomas @ Tor
    Garcia @ Min

I have to play my two centers Murphy and Camby

Kidd/Billups both should get minutes since their games are not worthless, but at the same time they have harder match ups while the rest of the players are against phoenix and Sacramento.

  45. Farmer says:

Any word on LeBron James & Dwight Howard playing Wednesday.

  46. john says:

well as every1 says long time fan first time poster… :P
final day final day of the playoffs i wanted to know i have a few players that im not so sure about wanted to know if you think they would play

Dwyane Wade (Mia – PG,SG) INJ – said he was fine but they didnt want to risk him in tuesdays game didnt say anything about wednesday

Dirk Nowitzki (Dal – PF) – just not sure about him

    • craptor says:

Dallas is still in a race for 6th, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t play the German.

Not sure about Wade, but I’d assume he’d start too with Chicago one game behind them (not sure who holds the tie-breaker though).

    • mbuser says:

wade is doubtful; with playoff seeding still undecided, dirk could see regular-ish minutes

  47. hawkowl says:

I need some advice here. I am tied for first in my roto league and only have two available slots, PF and SF. The rest are maxed out. Players available for PF are Bosh, Dirk, Brook Lopez, and Anthony Randolph. SF choices are Carmelo, Randolph again and Wilson Chandler. I want to maximize FGM and Rebounds and I’m having trouble deciding with whom to roll the dice. Any comments are appreciated.

    • craptor says:

I like Randolph to finish the season strong against the Suns (and after his last performance, I’m sure Nellie will give him the time). Also, living in Toronto, I would play Bosh. He has a lot more to play for at the end of this year than most players.

    • mbuser says:

a number of good options there. i like the bosh pick. with the nuggets needing a win the clinch the #2 seed, i think melo is a good play, but randolph should grab more boards

  48. craptor says:

    Hey Buse,

You just commented on Dwight, so I can leave that one out. Just wondering what you think about Bargnani vs. Diaw vs. Dwight vs. Stojakovic tonight. I can start 2 and with Dwight’s limited mins (I’m also dominating in blocks), I’m thinking Diaw and Peja (only because I’m afraid of Andrea sitting again).

  49. boxjohnson says:

Grangers foot pain going to keep him out?

  50. ferewuz says:

Just won my league final 5-4, with 93-94 in turnovers :D Amazing.
I decided in last moment not to play Turiaf because i thought i can’t come back in anything else than 3PTM and TO and he got 3 TOs, so that was the thing that won me the playoffs :)
